Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre @DanforthCTi

Danforth students were fortunate to meet Andrea (see photo below-left), Anthony (centre) and Billy (right) from the Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre (ENCC), a non-profit organization located in the East End of Toronto. The Centre has and continues to serve our local community children and youth through a wide variety of:  sports, social recreation, health and nutrition, leadership, life skills, educational arts and cultural programs and activities.

In 1968, as a Boys and Girls Club, Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre (ENCC) expanded its programs and evolved in to a multi-service organization in 1972. ENCC also offers summer and March Break program activities.

On Thursday, February 11, staff from ENCC invited all Danforth students and staff to attend 'Our Diversity Unites Us' a Black History month event,  that will take place on Sunday February 28th.  The event will be held at the Centre, 86 Blake Street and In previous years over 150  to 300 youth  from across the city of Toronto have attended. The event culminates in a gala event complete with a dinner, fashion show and a multicultural concert. This is a free event for all youth who wish to attend.
